Job Summary

Managing a portfolio of patient accounts, the full-time Patient Financial Services Specialist will oversee billing inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and serve as the primary liaison with the patient billing vendor in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage patient accounts with outstanding balances, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution
  • Serve as the operational point of contact for the patient billing vendor, monitoring performance and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Handle escalated billing inquiries and coordinate resolutions across various teams while maintaining compliance with policies
Required qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, patient financial services, or patient account management
  • Proven ability to explain insurance benefits and payment options directly to patients
  • Experience in independently resolving complex account disputes without supervisor intervention
  • Familiarity with monitoring vendor performance and translating metrics into actionable recommendations
  • Experience in managing high-volume accounts and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve issues
