Patient Financial Services Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Patient Financial Services Specialist will manage patient balances, advocate for financial assistance, and oversee billing inquiries while collaborating with various departments within the Centralized Revenue Cycle Management structure.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately reconcile and manage both legacy and Athena patient balances
• Process and manage credit card agreements, unapplied credits, and refunds
• Oversee internal and external patient collection processes and address billing inquiries

Required qualifications

• Experience in revenue cycle management or patient financial services
• Knowledge of billing systems, particularly Athena
• Understanding of financial assistance programs and hardship resources
• Strong organizational skills for managing patient data
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
