Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Financial Specialist to provide financial education and customer service to patients regarding their accounts and insurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Insurance Verification Staff to secure accurate insurance coverage information for patients
• Contact patients to review financial responsibilities and insurance requirements for services provided
• Resolve escalated customer calls and manage patient accounts appropriately

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with healthcare patient accounting, billing, or collections processes
• Knowledge of commercial and government insurances
• Understanding of HIPAA Privacy and Security requirements preferred
• Working knowledge of federal and state fraud and abuse laws
• Excellent driving record
