Patient Financial Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Financial Specialist, FT, Day, Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts interviews with patients to gather demographic and financial information while ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines
• Monitors high dollar accounts for accurate financial information and initiates necessary authorization and insurance verification processes
• Coordinates referrals to external agencies for financial assistance and maintains relationships with patients and industry organizations

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent OR Post High School Diploma
• 3 years of Health Care Revenue Cycle Experience (Billing, Collections, and/or Customer Service)
• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in a service industry may substitute for the above education/experience requirements
