Patient Financial Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Financial Specialist to assist patients with the financial aspects of their healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patients' insurance coverage and communicate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies
• Help patients understand their insurance coverage, including co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs
• Establish payment arrangements with patients and provide guidance on financial assistance programs

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Previous healthcare experience is required
• Familiarity with co-insurance, co-pays, and out-of-pocket costs is required
• Previous experience with pulling and reviewing EOBs is required
• Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, and RCM systems as needed
