Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Intake Coordinator - Specialty Pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support patients and providers in navigating insurance benefits for medications
  • Review patient insurance benefits and coordinate access to prescribed therapies
  • Gather medical information and submit prior authorizations for medications
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Completion of Prior Authorization Certified Specialist program within 12 months of hire
  • At least five years of experience with insurance billing and reimbursement
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and specialty pharmacy processes
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, such as a physician practice or patient assistance program, preferred
