Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Intake Coordinator - Specialty Pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support patients and providers in navigating insurance benefits for medications
- Review patient insurance benefits and coordinate access to prescribed therapies
- Gather medical information and submit prior authorizations for medications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Completion of Prior Authorization Certified Specialist program within 12 months of hire
- At least five years of experience with insurance billing and reimbursement
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and specialty pharmacy processes
- Experience in a healthcare setting, such as a physician practice or patient assistance program, preferred
