Job Summary
Seeking a full-time New Patient Intake Coordinator, this hybrid position will manage the intake process for pediatric therapy families, ensuring excellent customer service and effective communication with families, physicians, and referral partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and enter incoming therapy referrals into EMR systems, creating accurate patient profiles
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, routing referrals to appropriate service settings
- Schedule patients and coordinate with other departments while maintaining communication with referral sources
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience as a receptionist or scheduler in a medical office preferred
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft applications
- Experience with EMR systems
- Customer service experience
