Job Summary

Supporting new patient admissions, the part-time Patient Intake Specialist will gather demographic and clinical information, verify insurance coverage, and coordinate care steps while working remotely in a structured environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Collect and enter accurate patient information and verify insurance coverage
  • Review prescriptions for validity and coordinate with internal departments for timely care initiation
  • Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and communicate with patients and referral sources
Required qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare intake, medical office administration, or insurance support
  • Experience with insurance verification or authorizations preferred
  • Background in home health, DME, or medical office is a plus
  • High school diploma or GED required
