Patient Intake Specialist

Job Summary

To support new patient admissions, the remote Patient Intake Specialist will gather demographic and clinical information, verify insurance coverage, and coordinate care steps while maintaining accurate documentation in a compliant manner.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and enter accurate patient demographic and clinical information for admissions
• Verify insurance coverage and submit follow-up authorizations as needed
• Communicate with patients and internal teams to ensure timely completion of intake requirements

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in healthcare intake, medical office administration, or insurance support
• Experience with insurance verification or authorizations preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Background in home health, DME, or medical office is a plus
