Patient Intake Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting new patient admissions in a fully remote capacity, the part-time Patient Intake Specialist will gather and verify information, review insurance coverage, and coordinate care steps while ensuring compliance and accuracy in documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and enter accurate demographic and clinical information for new patient admissions
• Verify insurance coverage, review benefits, and submit authorizations as needed
• Communicate with patients and internal departments to ensure timely completion of intake requirements

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in healthcare intake, medical office administration, or insurance support
• Experience with insurance verification or authorizations preferred
• Background in home health, DME, or medical office is a plus
• High school diploma or GED required
