Job Summary

To support a busy healthcare environment, the full-time Patient Navigation Scheduler will efficiently manage appointment scheduling, handle high-volume inbound calls, and ensure a positive patient experience while working remotely from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. EST, Monday through Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Answer high-volume inbound calls with professionalism and empathy while scheduling medical appointments across multiple specialties
• Perform comprehensive patient registration, including verifying insurance benefits and documenting eligibility for accurate billing
• Maintain call center KPIs such as call handling time and quality scores, ensuring exceptional customer service throughout patient interactions

Required qualifications

• High school diploma required; higher education preferred
• 1-2 years of call center experience in a high-volume environment, preferably in a medical office or healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical appointment scheduling
• Proficiency in patient registration processes and insurance verification
• High level of computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft 365 applications and EMR/EHR systems
