Patient Registration Specialist

Job Summary

Facilitating patient flow and managing appointment scheduling, the full-time Patient Registration Specialist will verify insurance coverage, update patient demographics, and communicate effectively with patients and team members while transitioning to a remote work arrangement after onsite training.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow from check-in through check-out
• Verify insurance coverage and update patient demographics
• Schedule patient appointments and manage communications with patients and referring offices

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required
• Relevant experience in a health care setting is preferred
• Ability to learn and retain medical coding, including ICD-10 and CPT coding concepts
• Knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology is preferred
• Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
