Patient Safety Companion

Job Summary

Providing continuous observation and companionship, the part-time Patient Safety Companion will monitor patients remotely from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, ensuring their safety and well-being while supporting the clinical team by responding to patient needs and alerting nurses as necessary.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor patients continuously to ensure safety and well-being
• Alert nursing staff to patient needs or changes in condition
• Attend to basic patient requests while maintaining confidentiality

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• CNA or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience preferred
• Ability to demonstrate excellent listening and observation skills
