Patient Safety Consultant

Job Summary

To enhance pediatric care for medically complex children, the remote Patient Safety Consultant will lead patient safety investigations, collaborate with clinical teams to identify system vulnerabilities, and implement proactive risk reduction strategies in a full-time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate patient safety reports and facilitate investigations for events of harm and near misses
• Lead proactive risk assessments and collaborate with stakeholders to implement safety improvements
• Analyze event data to identify trends and generate insights for leadership

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical or health sciences field
• 3+ years of clinical healthcare experience
• 1+ year experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, and/or performance improvement
• Experience with data use, trending, and reporting
• Experience facilitating or participating in patient safety investigations
