Patient Safety Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Safety Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to adverse and near miss events, reviewing trends and making recommendations for improvement
• Coordinate the development and implementation of safety programs and projects, managing staff and resources effectively
• Conduct educational training and coaching on patient safety topics for medical and support staff

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or an Allied Health field, or equivalent experience
• 2-5 years of experience in project management, performance improvement, or patient safety
• Ability to attend virtual meetings reliably
• Demonstrated knowledge of system-level thinking and root cause analysis
• Experience analyzing data for patient safety and areas of potential improvement
