Patient Scheduling Associate

Job Summary

A healthcare company is looking for a Patient Scheduling Associate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Makes and responds to calls from patients, provider offices, and facilities for scheduling services
• Coordinates patients, facility resources, physicians, ancillary staff, and insurance providers to effectively schedule medical procedures
• Schedules tests and procedures in scheduling software system according to established guidelines

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred
• At least 2 years of medical clerical experience in a scheduling setting
• Strong computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, Outlook) and typing skills (30-40 WPM)
• 1-2 years of prior outpatient testing or surgical scheduling experience desired
• Familiarity with medical terminology and customer service preferred
