Job Summary
To support multiple ambulatory practices, the full-time Patient Service Representative will manage inbound and outbound communications, handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and resolve concerns regarding medication and insurance in a permanently remote setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Communicate with patients and staff using various advanced communication tools to address inquiries and provide information
- Utilize a computerized scheduling system to schedule and reschedule patient appointments accurately
- Document and update patient records using Epic, ensuring compliance with Practice guidelines and HIPAA regulations
Required qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to explain complex healthcare issues empathetically to patients
- Effective interpersonal skills for collaborating with a diverse team
- Experience with multiple communication tools, including phone, email, and online chat
