Job Summary
To support multiple ambulatory practices, the full-time Patient Service Representative will manage inbound and outbound communications, handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and assist with medication reconciliation and insurance verification in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate with patients and staff through various advanced communication tools, ensuring a patient-centered approach
- Schedule and reschedule appointments using a computerized system while providing detailed patient information and instructions
- Document patient interactions and escalate issues outside of established protocols to ensure timely resolution of concerns
Required qualifications
- A minimum of a High School diploma or GED
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to explain complex healthcare issues with empathy and effective communication skills
- Experience using multiple communication tools, such as phone calls, online chats, and emails
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and assist in training new personnel
