Patient Service Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare team, the part-time Patient Service Specialist will provide exceptional service to patients and families remotely, assisting with scheduling, pre-registration, and MyChart enrollment while working 18 hours per week on a fixed schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive and proactive Patients First experience for patients and visitors
• Investigate and resolve patient issues using the established HEART model
• Perform patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and maintain confidential patient information

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience in patient registration, appointment scheduling, or customer service, or an Associate's Degree with 1 year of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree
• Working knowledge of PC window applications
• Ability to perform basic math sufficient to process insurance co-pays
