Job Summary

Supporting prior authorization for commercial plans, the full-time Patient Services Coordinator will manage inbound calls from clinics and hospitals, route requests for review, and track status updates in a remote role based in Virginia.

Key responsibilities
  • Receive and route prior authorization requests from provider offices via fax or online
  • Confirm receipt of requests and provide status updates to clinics and hospitals through phone communication
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure timely review and processing of authorization requests
Required qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Experience working in the healthcare field is required
  • Health plan experience is highly preferred
  • Experience in a call center or similar phone-based role is preferred
