Patient Services Representative

Job Summary

To support daily clinic operations, the part-time Patient Services Representative will coordinate patient check-ins, manage appointment scheduling, and handle charge posting while working onsite in Urbana, Illinois.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily clinic preparation tasks including patient identification and check-in/out processes
• Manage incoming patient care requests, referrals, and telephone inquiries efficiently
• Ensure accurate reporting of medical information and secure prior authorizations as necessary

Required qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with general office equipment
• Proficiency in insurance coverage rules and eligibility requirements
• Successful completion of mandatory insurance training and ongoing competency refreshers
• Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
