Payer Contracting Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Extended Credentialing Services team, the part-time temporary Payer Contracting Specialist will manage the submission of applications for in-network healthcare payer contracts while maintaining communication with clients and payers throughout the contracting process.

Key responsibilities

• Submit contract requests and applications to obtain network participation with commercial and MCO payers
• Follow up with payers on the status of requests and ensure all supporting documentation is submitted
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates on the progress of the contracting process

Required qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in provider enrollment, credentialing, or understanding of the payer contracting life cycle
• Experience with contracting for both commercial and MCOs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CAQH, Availity, and OnBoard Pro
• High School Diploma required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in Business or healthcare preferred
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work with a sense of urgency
