Job Summary
Managing relationships with insurance payers, the remote Payer Relations Coordinator will ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for skilled nursing services by verifying patient insurance benefits, obtaining prior authorizations, and resolving coverage issues.
Key responsibilities
- Manage relationships with insurance payers to optimize revenue cycle outcomes
- Verify patient insurance benefits and obtain prior authorizations
- Collaborate with admissions, billing, and clinical teams to ensure compliance with insurance requirements
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of five years of prior related experience required
- Prior experience in payroll in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team player
