Payment Application Specialist

Job Summary

Responsible for posting insurance and patient payments to Epic and balancing those postings to bank deposits in a timely manner, the full-time Payment Application Specialist will work remotely to ensure accurate transaction processing and resolve outstanding payment issues.

Key responsibilities

• Processes electronic remittances and manually posts payments, ensuring accurate transaction routing in Epic
• Balances postings to bank deposits and reconciles payment amounts with the patient accounting system
• Researches and resolves unidentified or missing payments by contacting relevant third-party payors and financial institutions

Required qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• One year of medical billing or medical office experience preferred
• Experience in bookkeeping and cash balancing
