Payment Investigation Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a remote full-time Payment Investigation Specialist, the candidate will investigate missing payments and denials for clients, monitor payment investigations, and collaborate with the Payment team to obtain necessary documentation.

Key responsibilities:

• Call carriers to retrieve missing ERA files or paper EOBs
• Check claim status and verify if checks are cashed, requesting reissues as necessary
• Scan and post missing payments/denials while managing carrier website logins

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with medical billing office knowledge preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Familiarity with navigating carrier websites and live ERA files
