Payment Poster Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time remote Payment Poster Specialist will process and post payments, manage electronic payment processing, and reconcile financial transactions while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Process and post insurance, patient, and miscellaneous payments accurately and within established turnaround times
• Manage ERA/EFT enrollment and maintain electronic payment processing for assigned practices
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, denials, and account variances

Required qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, business, or healthcare; or a medical billing certificate, with a high school diploma acceptable if accompanied by 3+ years of medical billing experience
• Minimum 1 year of specialized experience with a medical billing certificate, or 3 years' experience without
• Experience with medical software programs and proficiency in MS Office applications
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment and handle sensitive situations with a high level of interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to remain calm under stress
