Payment Poster Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time Payment Poster Specialist will process and post payments, manage electronic payment processing, and reconcile payment discrepancies while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Process and post insurance, patient, and miscellaneous payments accurately within established turnaround times
• Manage ERA/EFT enrollment and monitor electronic payment processing for assigned practices
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, denials, and account variances while maintaining confidentiality

Required qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, business, or a medical billing certificate; or a High School Diploma with 3+ years of medical billing experience
• Minimum 1 year of specialized experience with a medical billing certificate, or 3 years without it
• Experience with medical software programs and proficiency in MS Office applications
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with strong interpersonal skills
• Good judgment and the ability to remain calm under stress
