Payment Posting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payment Posting Specialist responsible for managing and reconciling payments in the billing system.

Key Responsibilities

• Post payments from Remittance and EOBs to appropriate accounts with minimal errors
• Analyze EOB information to verify accuracy of patient balances and apply necessary denial codes
• Reconcile payment discrepancies and assist in setting up Electronic Remittance Advices for payors

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or relevant certification preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in payment posting from Remittance and EOBs
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding, and payer rules related to behavioral health services
• Proficiency in using EHR systems and insurance verification software
• Access to reliable internet and telephone services for remote work
