Payment Posting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payment Posting Specialist responsible for accurately posting payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately post payments, adjustments, and denials from EOBs and ERAs to patient accounts
• Identify and retrieve remittance information from various payer portals to ensure timely posting
• Proactively resolve ERA gaps and correct claims or posting errors to maintain clean accounts receivable

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical billing, payment posting, or a similar RCM role
• Proven experience navigating and extracting remittance data from major payer portals
• Demonstrated experience with credit balance resolution and refund processing
• Proficiency with medical billing software and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• Expert-level understanding of EOBs, ERAs, CPT, ICD-10, and standard adjustment/denial codes
