Payment Posting Specialist
Job Summary
Working remotely, the Payment Posting Specialist will accurately post payments and adjustments from various sources, reconcile payments with remittances, and resolve discrepancies in a high-volume acute care environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify, research, and process payments and error corrections while maintaining documentation on individual accounts
- Train new and existing team members, serving as a subject matter expert in payment posting
- Research and resolve payment posting issues, ensuring compliance with payer regulations and deadlines
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, cash posting, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic medical record systems
- Knowledge of ICD-10 codes, EOBs, and third-party billing requirements
- Ability to understand basic accounting principles and revenue cycle data analysis
