Payment Posting Specialist

Job Summary

Working fully remotely, the Payment Posting Specialist will ensure accurate recording of received payments and denials in the billing system while collaborating with internal teams and insurance payers to facilitate the billing cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure payments and denials are applied to the appropriate accounts and perform reconciliations to verify accurate postings
• Utilize critical thinking to determine next steps in the billing cycle for any outstanding balances
• Respond to team emails and assist with month-end reporting functions while adhering to company guidelines

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Previous experience in medical billing and/or account reconciliation
• Knowledge of HIPAA and PCI Compliance
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
