Payment Posting Specialist
Job Summary
To support revenue cycle functions, the full-time remote Payment Posting Specialist will manage the posting, adjusting, and monitoring of patient accounts receivables while ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Completes posting of payments and adjustments at the patient account level accurately and timely
- Communicates with patients and insurance providers to resolve payment-related inquiries and issues
- Researches and resolves insurance overpayments, credits, and manages patient refund requests
Required qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- 1-3 years of payment posting experience in a medical setting
- Experience with accounting and EFT/ERA setup is a plus
- Ability to read and understand Explanation of Benefits
- Knowledge of third-party billing and collection requirements, including Medicare and Medicaid
