Payment Processing Specialist

Job Summary

Processing incoming payments and resolving issues with banks and insurance carriers, the full-time Payment Processing Specialist will work remotely to ensure accurate payment transactions and effective communication with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Processing incoming payments from insurance carriers and sorting daily mail to appropriate lockboxes
• Verifying payment statuses with insurance carriers and requesting reissuance of checks as necessary
• Managing special projects and maintaining effective communication with clients, banks, and patients

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in medical billing office and payment posting preferred
• Familiarity with bank processes, including non-sufficient funds and international checks is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
• Able to navigate insurance carrier websites effectively
