Payment Recovery Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing behavioral health practice, the full-time Payment Recovery Specialist will manage denials and underpayments from payers, conduct root-cause analyses, and collaborate with various departments to enhance denials management processes in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough root cause analysis of denials to identify process gaps and escalate urgent issues to management
• Research and analyze complex information from multiple systems to support findings and refine workflows
• Manage appeals and reconsiderations by obtaining necessary documentation and following up with payors for resolution

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
• Three years of healthcare clerical experience required
• Experience with advanced follow-up and denials/appeals strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with payer portals and systems required
