Payment Recovery Specialist

Job Summary

To support the management of denials and underpayments, the full-time Payment Recovery Specialist will conduct root-cause analyses, collaborate with billing departments, and assist with appeals while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough root cause analysis of denials to identify process gaps and escalate high-risk issues to management
• Research and analyze complex information from multiple systems to support findings and refine workflows
• Support appeal efforts by obtaining necessary documentation and following up with payors for resolution

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
• Three years of healthcare clerical experience required
• Experience with advanced follow-up and denials/appeals strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with payer portals required
