Payment Resolution Specialist

Job Summary

To support the accuracy of patient accounts, the full-time Payment Resolution Specialist will research and resolve payment discrepancies, perform detailed account analysis, and collaborate with internal teams and payers while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and account variances to ensure accurate account balances
• Work with Athenahealth worklists to review patient accounts and determine appropriate resolutions
• Process patient and insurance refunds in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Strong analytical skills to interpret payment activity and identify discrepancies
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
