Payment Variance Analyst

Job Summary

Identifying opportunities for additional reimbursement due to contractual discrepancies, the full-time Payment Variance Analyst will analyze underpaid claims, collaborate with internal teams for data validation, and report trends to client leadership while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform payment variance analysis to identify trends in underpaid claims
• Request and prepare data for payer underpayments for internal validation
• Analyze client heat maps and report underpayment trends for resolution and collections

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2 years' experience in commercial insurance collections and underpayment analysis
• Detailed knowledge of managed care reimbursement methodologies
• Experience in hospital/facility billing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
