Payment Workflow Specialist

Job Summary

Reviewing trip records for accuracy, the remote hourly Payment Workflow Specialist will ensure correct payment processing, investigate discrepancies, and conduct quality assurance checks on payment postings.

Key responsibilities:

• Verify that payments are posted correctly and align with contractual agreements and patient responsibilities
• Correct posting errors and document changes for record-keeping
• Conduct quality assurance checks on payment posting processes and respond to posting-related inquiries

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years of experience in medical billing and basic accounting principles preferred
• Strong experience with payment posting and deposit reconciliation
• Proficiency with Practice Management Systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office, including basic Excel functions
• Ability to type at least 35 WPM and perform 10-key data entry at a minimum of 10,000 keystrokes per hour
