Payments Analytics Staff Analyst

Job Summary

To support Airbnb's global Payments operations, the full-time remote Payments Analytics Staff Analyst will act as a data thought partner, delivering insights and recommendations to enhance decision-making and optimize user experiences across the Payments Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to empower data-informed decision-making across the organization
• Architect scalable reporting platforms and conduct rigorous experimentation to optimize the payments ecosystem
• Analyze payment processing trends and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategic improvements

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of industry experience in business analytics with a degree in a quantitative field (Master's or PhD preferred)
• Proven track record in Payments organizations with deep technical proficiency in payment processing, risk, and compliance
• Expertise in SQL and proficiency in at least one programming language for data analysis (Python or R)
• Experience with AI tools, non-experimental causal inference methods, and machine learning techniques
• Working knowledge of schema design and high-dimensional data modeling (ETL frameworks like Airflow)
