Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payments Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the sole payments counsel, providing strategic legal counsel on payments-related matters
• Advise on compliance with U.S. and European payments regulations and support product development
• Negotiate, draft, and review payments-related commercial agreements and monitor regulatory developments

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• 3-5 years of experience in payments law, focusing on regulatory compliance and commercial contracting
• Experience advising on U.S. and European payments regulations
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver practical legal advice
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product, business, and legal stakeholders
