Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead legal advisor for Payments, Engineering, Risk, and Product teams, guiding product development and compliance
• Advise on U.S. and global regulatory frameworks related to payments, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Draft and negotiate complex agreements with payment processors and financial institutions while ensuring compliance in marketing materials

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of legal experience focused on payments, fintech, and financial services
• Strong expertise in U.S. payments regulations and experience with international regimes
• Experience counseling on payments products throughout the product lifecycle
• Proven ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements with financial institutions
• Experience in building scalable legal processes for new payment features and products
