Payments Manager
Job Summary
Owning the merchant onboarding lifecycle, the full-time Payments Manager will lead the onboarding process from sales handover to operational readiness, ensuring merchants are accurately configured and ready to transact while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end onboarding execution, coordinating with Sales, Underwriting, Compliance, and Product to meet timelines
- Serve as the internal expert on payment gateway operations and onboarding compliance, building and maintaining process documentation
- Lead and develop a team of onboarding specialists, embedding AI tools into workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Required qualifications
- 4-8 years of experience in payments, payment operations, or merchant onboarding
- Deep knowledge of payment gateways, merchant acquiring, and KYC/KYB processes
- Proven ability to manage complex onboarding projects with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in restaurant, hospitality, or integrated payments environments is preferred
- Prior experience managing or mentoring a small team
