Payments Senior Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Counsel, Payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a key legal partner to Product, Compliance, and Engineering teams for new payments-related offerings
• Provide strategic legal guidance on launching payments products and programs globally
• Advise on regulatory requirements for product expansion into new jurisdictions

Required Qualifications

• J.D. or equivalent with admission to practice law in the United States
• 10+ years of legal experience, particularly in payments, blockchain, and financial services
• Deep understanding of U.S. federal and state payments laws
• Experience advising product and engineering teams on legal requirements in payment network design
• Familiarity with financial institution partnerships and global banking institutions is preferred
