Payor Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payor Specialist to work remotely on a PRN basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicates clinical information and negotiates with payors to obtain authorization for care and length of stay
• Provides feedback on payor determinations and obtains provider and benefit information for various services
• Maintains certification information in the system and documents any changes in payor information

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience with Third Party Reimbursement or Utilization Management preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
