Payor Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payor Specialist to work remotely on a PRN basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicates clinical information and negotiates with payors for authorization of care and length of stay
• Provides feedback on payor determinations and obtains provider and benefit information for services
• Maintains certification information in the appropriate system and documents any changes in payor information

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience with Third Party Reimbursement or Utilization Management preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Capability to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
