Payor Specialist

Job Summary

To support utilization management, the part-time remote Payor Specialist will be responsible for payer notification, securing authorizations, and documenting payer determinations in Epic while communicating with unit managers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage payer notifications and secure authorizations for patient admissions
• Submit clinical information to obtain authorization for appropriate care levels and lengths of stay
• Document all payer determinations in Epic and communicate requests to unit manager nurses

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Access to high-speed internet at home
• Previous experience with Epic (preferred)
• Familiarity with insurance guidelines and federal regulations (preferred)
