Payroll Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payroll Accountant who will oversee payroll accounting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate U.S. and international payroll prepared by external payroll providers/PEOs
• Perform payroll accounting tasks, including journal entries, accruals, and GL reconciliations
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external partners to resolve discrepancies and enhance payroll processes

Required Qualifications

• Strong accounting background, ideally with payroll accounting or general ledger experience
• Experience overseeing payroll processed externally (PEO or global payroll vendor)
• Solid understanding of payroll-related journal entries, classifications, and reconciliations
• Familiarity with U.S. payroll regulations; global payroll exposure is a plus
• High level of discretion when handling confidential information
