Payroll Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payroll Accountant responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll for multi-state employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Maintain payroll records and ensure appropriate documentation is filed and retained
• Prepare and reconcile payroll journal entries and general ledger accounts

Required Qualifications and Key Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2-5 years of payroll accounting experience; multi-state payroll experience required
• Strong understanding of payroll and tax laws
• Strong proficiency with Paylocity
• Proficiency with Power Query, Excel, and NetSuite
