Job Summary
To support the Accounting organization, the full-time Payroll Accounting Specialist will manage bi-weekly payroll processing, compliance filings, and accounts payable activities for U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review and process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with payroll accounting standards
- Support year-end reporting, including W-2s, T4s, RL-1s, and vendor 1099s
- Manage Canadian payroll requirements, including filing Records of Employment (ROEs) and annual vacation entitlement adjustments
Required qualifications
- BS degree in Accounting or 5+ years of payroll accounting experience
- 4 to 7 years of related experience with payroll, benefits, compliance, accounting, and audit
- Experience with Canadian payroll and vacation entitlements is required
- Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is preferred
