Job Summary
Detail-oriented and finance-minded, the full-time Payroll & Benefits Administrator will manage end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. employees across multiple states, coordinate benefits administration, and ensure compliance with payroll regulations in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee payroll cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely processing while addressing employee inquiries regarding pay and benefits
- Coordinate with the Employer of Record to maintain payroll schedules and handle benefits administration tasks such as enrollments and premium reconciliations
- Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll to general ledger accounts while generating workforce cost reports for stakeholders
Required qualifications
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in U.S. multi-state payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and multi-state payroll tax regulations
- Experience in preparing payroll journal entries and reconciling payroll accounts
- Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and pivot tables
- Proven ability to meet strict deadlines in a self-directed environment
